These terms explain how you may use MongoliaHandbook and what you can expect from it. In short: the Handbook is a free information guide to Mongolia; it does not sell tours, take bookings or handle payments, and although we work to keep it accurate, you should confirm important details with official sources before you travel. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

What MongoliaHandbook is

MongoliaHandbook is a bilingual (Mongolian and English) guide to Mongolia's destinations, history, culture, food and travel practicalities. Everything on the site is provided for general information only. It is not legal, medical, financial, visa or immigration advice, and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional or the relevant authority.

No bookings, sales or payments

The Handbook is not a tour operator, travel agent or booking platform. We do not sell tours, accommodation, flights or tickets, and we do not take payments. Any mention of a company, camp, restaurant, airline or other business is for information only and is not an endorsement or a guarantee. If you book with a third party, your agreement is with that business, under its own terms.

Accuracy of information

We aim to keep information correct and up to date. However, travel information changes quickly. Visa rules, prices, flight routes, opening hours, festival dates and road conditions in particular can change without notice. We cannot guarantee that every detail is complete, current or free of errors. Before you rely on anything important, confirm it with the official source, such as the Mongolian Immigration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, your airline or the venue. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any loss, cost or inconvenience that results from relying on information on the site.

Images, licences and credits

Many photos on the site come from Wikimedia Commons and similar sources and are used under their stated licences (such as Creative Commons licences) or because they are in the public domain. Where a licence requires it, we credit the author and licence. Images remain the property of their creators. If you want to reuse an image, check the licence on its original source page rather than copying it from this site. If you believe an image is used or credited incorrectly, please tell us and we will review it promptly.

The Handbook's own text may not be republished in full without permission. Short quotations credited to MongoliaHandbook are welcome.

External links

Some pages may mention or link to other websites, such as official government services or map providers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse the site.

Your saved trip items and privacy

The site lets you save destinations, articles and other items to a personal trip list. These saved items are stored only in your own web browser, in its local storage. They are not sent to us, we cannot see them, and they are not linked to your name or to any account. If you clear your browser data, switch browsers or use another device, your saved list will not be there. You do not need to create an account or give personal details to use the Handbook. Standard technical data, such as server logs kept by our hosting provider, may be processed to keep the site running.

Contact and changes to these terms

If you have a question, spot an error or want to report an image issue, contact the site administrator through the contact option provided on the site. We may update these terms from time to time, and the latest version will always be on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
